Dorado Dental Rides in Puerto Rico
🚲 Rode my bike to work today.
The older I get, the more I realize that health isn’t something we “do” for an hour at the gym.
It’s something we build into everyday life.
One of the reasons I’m so passionate about riding my bike whenever possible:
☀️ More sunshine
🌴 More fresh air
💪 More movement
😌 Less stress
👋 More spontaneous conversations with neighbors
🌎 Less pollution
💰 Lower transportation costs
When I’m in my car, I’m mostly moving from Point A to Point B.
When I’m on my bike, I actually experience my community.
I notice new plants blooming. I wave at people walking their dogs. I stop and chat with neighbors. I feel connected to the place I live.
And that’s what inspires me most.
Some of the happiest, healthiest, safest cities in the world didn’t get there by accident. They invested in people first—walkability, bikeability, parks, public spaces, and community.
Those changes rarely happen overnight. They happen because people start asking for something better. Then enough people start living that way that the system eventually follows.
I’m incredibly encouraged by the urban planners, engineers, cycling advocates, and community leaders across Puerto Rico who have been working toward that vision for years.
I’m just trying to do my small part by showing up, riding my bike, and supporting the kind of future I’d love for my kids to inherit.
Because healthier communities create healthier people.
And healthier people tend to have happier smiles. 😁🚲💚
