27 Miles on a Fixed Gear

It has been over a month since my last bike commute to work. It’s a little over 27 miles each way. I live in the northwest side of Chicago and work in Woodridge. So my ride starts out in the city streets with shared bike lanes and as I progress into the suburbs, it’s mostly 2-4 lanes roads and just riding on the right lane. The morning commute usually has less cars than the afternoon. The ride is about 2 hours each way. Overall, the ride is long, but worth it! Especially on a fixed gear. Current ratio is 53/19.
