Year-Round Cyclist Volunteers to Light Up the Greenway

It's been nearly two months since this article ran, and the response I've gotten has been overwhelming. I think what I'm most hopeful for coming out of this has been all the folks who have let me know about the small, nagging issues they have encountered in the city - overgrown trails, graffiti, litter - and how they've decided to tackle them themselves rather than just complaining online or sending emails to already overstretched city officials. In the end, government is just people we hire to do things for us, but there's nothing stopping us from also pitching in to make our city a better place to live.

I don't mean to use this platform to toot my own horn (though that probably means I'm using LinkedIn wrong), and I hope that this example serves to inspire people to think of what you can do in your own community to make it a little bit better for everyone.
