Protest the Protest Continues

Bike groups from Chicago are showing up week after week at Archer and Rockwell. Every Monday evening, cyclists come together to support the ‘protest the protest’ initiative. Bike lanes were constructed on Archer Avenue months ago. A group of motorists want bike lanes removed due to traffic concerns. Cyclists are advocating for safer streets and better biking infrastructure. Archer Ave is a main roadway connecting downtown and the southwest side.

Groups and organizations showing up include Gage Park Cyclists, Chicago Critical Mass, CyclingxSolidarity, The Southwest Collective, Chicago Taildraggers, and more. The peaceful demonstration highlights the strength of the cycling community in Chicago. Safer streets for all is the goal. As cycling continues to grow in Chicago, infrastructure is essential. Be apart of this movement by meeting the group at Archer and Rockwell from 4pm to 6pm on Monday evenings.
